Wellington Linen Hire FAQs

  • Is there a minimum hire fee?

    Yes! You can order the quantity you need, however our minimum hire is $140 (equivalent to 56 napkins) not including delivery fees.

  • How long is the hire period?

    For weekend hires, it is four days staring Friday returning by Monday 6pm (depending on availability). Midweek hire is 1-3 day hire based on availability.

  • Can you ship me the linens?

    Sadly not! We are a local company in Wellington, serving the local market. We will happily deliver to your venue in the city free of charge, or you can pick up from us in Island Bay. We will deliver outside of Wellington for a delivery fee (based on travel distance, ask us for a quote!)

  • What are your delivery fees?

    We offer a range of delivery options!

    Pick up in Island Bay is free, or we can delivery locally to a venue in the Wellington city for free. If your venue is located outside of the city (Poirurua, Lower Hutt and beyond), we charge a delivery fee. We do not ship/courier our linens, and we do not deliver outside of Wellington. Pick up in Island Bay is recommended!

  • When can I pick up the linens?

    Pick up is in Island Bay (we will provide our address upon payment) on Fridays (including statutory holidays) at a pre-arranged time between 8am-2pm. If you need a pick up time outside of this time or date, contact us for pricing and availability. Email us at hello@poppylinenhire.co.nz to schedule your pick up.

  • How can I return the linens?

    Drop off in Island Bay on Mondays between 8am-6pm (at a pre-arranged time). If we devliered for free, we will collect on Monday during the day from the venue, any other pick ups by us need to be organised in advance of your hire period. Email us at hello@poppylinenhire.co.nz to schedule your return.

  • Is cleaning included?

    Yes, our linen napkins include standard cleaning. If there are any napkins that are heavily stained, we will attempt to spot clean the linen - additional fees apply and will be charged to your card on file.

  • What is your replacement fee for damaged linen?

    Please see our t’s & c’s for more info. In general, if we need to replace a linen napkin you will be billed $35+ GST plus any other additional fees/expenses by us including any spot cleaning we attempted.

  • Do you set up our linens or fold them?

    We can do both for an additional fee! Please contact us for set-up availability. You can add on a napkin pre-fold service on your booking form.

  • Anything I need to know about linen hire?

    Yes, please note that linen napkins can stain easily - lipstick, wine, heavy creams, oily foods, spices such as turmeric and saffron, all can leave a heavy stain and require spot cleaning.
